Cole Lorenz, PGA Assistant Professional at The Valley Club in Sun Valley, Idaho, won the National Car Rental Rocky Mountain Assistant PGA Professional Championship held on Thursday, June 21st at Pinecrest Golf Course in Idaho Falls, Idaho.


By winning, Lorenz qualified for the 42nd National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship, Nov. 15-18, at PGA Golf Club (Wanamaker Course) in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The facility will be hosting its twenty-third consecutive Assistant PGA Professional Championship.


Lorenz posted a 5-under-par, 67-68=135, in windy conditions to clip Zayne Slotten, associate professional at Twin Falls (Idaho) Golf Course, by five shots.  Liam Mulligan, PGA Assistant Professional at Shooting Star in Jackson, Wyo., was alone in third place six shots off the pace.  Both Lorenz and Slotten qualified to go to the National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship.
