The Rocky Mountain PGA Jr. League Section Championship was contested at Pinecrest Golf Course in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on August 16, 2019. Four All-Star Teams earned their way in to the event in an effort to advance to the PGA Jr. League regional competition coming up in Washington. Teams from Eastern Idaho, Billings, Montana, and two teams from Boise, Idaho, all came in their team colors and fought hard to earn the PGA Jr. League Section Championship title.
The four All-Star Teams played two 9-hole games in a pairs scramble match play format to determine the champions. Boise’s Crane Creek Country Club team came out on top over the representative team from Eastern Idaho in an exciting final game. Crane Creek’s championship squad was made up of Reid Piron, Reid Hoppock, Luke Soltau, Eli Rich, Kelly Goulet, Lincoln Hale, Grant Spillman, Sean Fitzpatrick, Toby Lund, Brennan Johnson, and captained by PGA Professional Luke Sestero. The scrappy bunch from Eastern Idaho included Justin Anderson, Luke Peterson, Davis Mickelson, Mason Denning, Giles Anderson, Braxton Miller, Chris Arvas, Bjorn Lindquist, Zane Lindquist, Logan Billings and captained by Tyson Bowen.
