PAUL-DAVID MILTON HONORED AS 2025 RMSPGA
GOLF PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR
The Rocky Mountain Section PGA has named PGA Professional Paul-David Milton from Driggs, Idaho, its 2025 Golf Professional of the Year. Milton was elected to membership in the PGA of America in 2012 and has served The Club at 3 Creek, first as the Head Professional from 2021 through the beginning of 2024, and then into his current position as the Director of Golf.
The PGA Golf Professional of the Year Award is the highest honor paid to a PGA professional. The honoree is chosen based on his or her outstanding leadership abilities, exceptional performance as a PGA Professional, and distinguished service to the Association and the game of golf.
A key component of Paul-David’s success is his ability to create a culture where golf is fun, not only for members, but for his entire team. By fostering an atmosphere of enjoyment, camaraderie, and enthusiasm for the game, it opens a window for his staff to find genuine fulfillment in their work. That very sense of enjoyment enhances member relationships, strengthens service standards, and deepens everyone’s connection and commitment to the club experience and the game itself.
Milton is also generous with his time outside the club. Since joining the Section in 2010, he has continuously sought opportunities to serve and lead. Paul-David has spent five years on the Board where he currently serves as President of the Snake River Chapter, where his leadership and professionalism have strengthened communication, programming, and engagement amongst members. Prior to his Board service, Paul-David served as the Tournament Committee Chairman and has volunteered his time to the Awards Committee as well. His long-standing commitment to the Section exemplifies his dedication to giving back to the game and fostering growth within the PGA community.
You don’t get promoted to a Director of Golf position in this business if you aren’t a competent leader and mentor. Supporting and incentivizing the development of PGA Associates is a key part of Milton’s leadership philosophy. He places great importance on helping Associates through the PGA curriculum by setting clear and achievable goals that can lead to performance bonuses, promotion opportunities, or even the occasional golf trip to a premiere destination. These incentives reflect his deep appreciation for their dedication and commitment to professional growth beyond day-to-day responsibilities. Paul-David is truly a consummate professional and his leadership skills will continue to be role model worthy for anyone paying attention.
This is the second time Milton has been recognized by the RMSPGA for an award as he was the Merchandiser of the Year in the Private Facility category in 2018. Paul-David will be formally recognized as the 2025 Rocky Mountain Section PGA Golf Professional of the Year in May as part of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Annual Meeting and Awards Presentation.
