A simply spectacular morning at Sun Valley Golf Resort in Sun Valley, Idaho, was the perfect backdrop for the first round of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Senior Professional Championship supported by Golf Channel, John Deere, OMEGA and The PGA Tour. Brad Martin, PGA, from Elko, NV, enjoyed the day shooting a tidy even-par round of 72 to take a single shot lead over PGA Life Member Ron Ptacek from Oro Valley, AZ, and PGA Professional Kury Reynolds from Powell, WY, who shared rounds of 1-over-par, 73. A perfect day demanded a perfect shot, and PGA Professional Bobby Howell from Chubbuck, ID, answered the call with an Ace on the sixth hole… Cheers Bobby!!!

The top three finishers will advance to the Senior PGA Professional Championship in Port St. Lucie, FL, later this year.
