PGA Professional Lucas Brick of Hailey, Idaho, has been selected by the Rocky Mountain Section PGA as the 2018 recipient of the Player Development Award. Brick, a nine year member of The PGA of America has been honored as such to recognize his extraordinary contributions and achievements in the area of Player Development. This award considers the Professional’s “Growth of the Game” leadership commitment at Section and National levels and the impact made at his/her own facility.

As the PGA Head Professional at The Valley Club in Hailey, Idaho, Lucas continues to work tirelessly to promote the game of golf. The membership at the club has a diverse set of skills and background in the game and because of this, The Valley Club offers a wide variety of programs to meet each category of their player’s needs. Lucas uses technology, hands-on teaching, and programs geared toward instruction with a bit of competitive flair. There are ways to just get a tune-up on your game or a total overhaul with a new 34 session, season long practice program they introduced this year. The Valley Club staff even offered complementary Saturday clinics covering a variety of game topics and Get Golf Ready programming. Lucas has not ignored the importance of physical fitness as it relates to better golf. As a level 2 certified TPI instructor, he screens and assesses many players to help them determine their physical limitations so that a plan may be wisely and safely made for their improvement. Brick and The Valley Club staff continues to welcome people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game.

This is the first time Lucas has garnered a Section Award and he will be formally recognized as the 2018 Rocky Mountain Section PGA Player Development Award winner in May of 2019, during the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Annual Meeting and Honors and Awards ceremony.
