Humphries and Johnson Capture 2026 RMSPGA Junior Championship Titles
Boys and Girls overall champions earn berths to the 50th PGA Junior Championship after 36-hole test at Whitetail Club
MCCALL, Idaho — Danika Humphries of Twin Falls and Brayden Johnson of Meridian captured the Girls and Boys overall titles at the 2026 RMSPGA Junior Championship, completed Thursday at Whitetail Club in McCall, Idaho. Both champions, along with runners-up Cara Carter and Justin Anderson, earned berths to the 50th PGA Junior Championship at Fields Ranch in Frisco, Texas.
Humphries needed extra holes to settle the Girls competition. She and Carter, of Eagle, each completed the 36-hole event at 155 — Humphries with rounds of 76–79 and Carter with 77–78 — before Humphries prevailed on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff to claim both the Girls 16–18 division and the overall title.
Johnson set the pace among the boys, carding 71–68 for a 139 total to win the 16–18 division by three strokes over Anderson of Idaho Falls, who closed at 142 (72–70). The pair claimed the two Boys berths to Frisco.
In the 13–15 divisions, Jenna Landon of Ririe won on the girls’ side at 172 (89–83), while Cole Shepherd of Boise took the boys’ title at 154 (80–74).
Whitetail Club presented a demanding test. The course was in spectacular shape but played difficult, with long rough and fast greens challenging the field across both rounds.
The Rocky Mountain Section PGA extends its thanks to Max Riggs, PGA, Golf Director; Andrew Elaimy, PGA, Head Golf Professional; and Nick Korthals, Superintendent, along with their respective staffs, for the considerable work that went into preparing and hosting the championship.
