Amat, Jensen, Boone are Gallatin Valley Jr. Champs
Congratulations go out to Frances Amat, 16, from Livingston, MT, Colin Jensen, 13, from Billings, MT, and Tye Boone, 17, also from Billings, for their outstanding play in the 2023 Gallatin Valley Jr. Championship contested at Bridger Creek Golf Course in Bozeman, MT, on July 26-27.
Amat blistered the field with her rounds of 74-78=152 to capture the gold medal in the Girls’ 15-18 year-old division by 14 shots. Jensen was equally dominant in the Boys’ 14 and under division firing tournament low rounds of 70-67=137, necking gold by 10 strokes. In the Boys’ 15-18 year-old competition, Boone was as steady as a rock shooting identical rounds of 70 for a 140 total and a 5-shot victory.
