Jim Empey, PGA Director of Instruction at Quail Hollow Golf Club in Boise, ID, was as hot as the temperature in the 2021 Rocky Mountain Section Senior PGA Professional Championship presented by Cadillac and supported by Golf Channel, John Deere, ROLEX and The PGA TOUR.  This is the third time Empey has won the Senior Section Championship having previously done so in 2012 and 2020.  Empey’s two-round total of 9-under-par, 66-69=135, was good enough to win by three over John Van Vleet, PGA General Manager at Preston (Idaho) Golf & Country Club, who fired the low final round of 5-under-par 67 to charge after Empey.  Alone in third place was Timberstone Golf Course PGA Head Professional Tad Holloway who canned a 30-foot putt on the last green to capture the final qualifying spot in to the 2021 Senior PGA Professional Championship also presented by Cadillac and supported by Golf Channel and John Deere to be played at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida, in October.

The Rocky Mountain Section PGA extends its sincere gratitude to host PGA Professional Scott Nicholes and his gracious staff at Ridgecrest Golf Club in Nampa, Idaho, for their wonderful hospitality and willing assistance in holding our championship.  Thanks also to presenting sponsor Cadillac and supporting sponsors Golf Channel, John Deere, ROLEX & The PGA TOUR.
