RMSPGA YOUTH PLAYER DEVELOPMENT AWARD HONOREE IS BEN BRYSON
Ben Bryson, the PGA Head Professional at RedHawk Golf Course in Nampa, Idaho, has been named the recipient of the 2022 Youth Player Development Award for the Rocky Mountain Section PGA. Bryson has been a member of the PGA of America since 2009 and has always had a passion for making an impact on junior golf.
The Youth Player Development Award bestows special recognition upon a PGA Professional who has displayed extraordinary and exemplary contribution and achievement in this field. Ben is deeply immersed in the world of junior golf as is evidenced by his various positions on different junior golf affiliated Boards of Directors. In addition, during this challenging time in finding host sites for junior golf events, Bryson and RedHawk Golf Course have stepped up to host a variety of significant junior championships.
In the midst of Bryson’s extensive volunteer activities, he also hosts junior camps, clinics, and is a huge supporter of PGA Junior League. The Idaho Junior Golf Foundation, where Ben serves as President, allows him to serve more than 600 children and their 2022 dinner auction raised more than $45,000 in support. Bryson prides himself in being a leader of junior golf by always being at the forefront of regional and local junior events. Whether he is hosting a junior tournament, attending as a spectator, or volunteering his time, Ben is in a constant state of advocating for kids in the great game of golf.
This is the second time Bryson has garnered the Youth Player Development Award having previously been honored in 2015 and is his seventh overall Section honor. He will be presented with the 2022 RMSPGA Youth Player Development Award next May at the Section Annual Meeting and Awards presentation.
