EDDIE KAVRAN HONORED AS 2024 RMSPGA GOLF PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR
The Rocky Mountain Section PGA has named PGA Member Eddie Kavran from Billings, Montana, its 2024 Golf Professional of the Year. This award is not necessarily a representation of Eddie’s success in just 2024. In this particular case, this accolade is more of an affirmation of his 20+ years as a respected, hard-working professional. Kavran entered the profession 23 years ago and earned his PGA Membership in 2007. He has served as the Head Golf Professional at Hilands Golf Club in Billings, Montana, the last 17 years.
The PGA Golf Professional of the Year Award is the highest honor paid to a PGA professional. The honoree is chosen based on his or her outstanding leadership abilities, exceptional performance as a PGA Professional, and distinguished service to that person’s Chapter, Section, Association, and the game of golf.
Like most golf professionals, Kavran wears a wide variety of hats. He is the face of his club in Billings, a master merchandiser, a creator of successful and growing junior programs, a mentor to young professionals, and a leader to his Chapter and Section. In one way or another, Eddie has been involved with committees and boards since 2011. He is the current president of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA having been elected by his peers through the Chapter and then to the Section Board of Directors. Eddie is an objective listener, never in a hurry to make harsh decisions, and always more thoughtful to others than himself.
The charitable side to Kavran’s career is notable in many ways. He willingly gives of his time to aid local schools, growing scholarship pro-ams in the Yellowstone Chapter in support of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation, and participating and collaborating for various charitable organizations in his area supporting children, veterans and their families.
The RMSPGA congratulates Eddie Kavran on a continuing career full of accomplishments and he will be formally recognized as the 2024 Rocky Mountain Section PGA Golf Professional of the Year in May as part of the Annual Meeting and Awards Presentation.
