SESTERO SELECTED AS ROCKY MOUNTAIN SECTION PGA PLAYER DEVELOPMENT AWARD RECIPIENT
PGA Professional Luke Sestero has been selected by the Rocky Mountain Section PGA as the 2023 recipient of the Player Development Award. Sestero, an 8-year member of The PGA of America, has been honored as such to recognize his extraordinary contributions and achievements in the area of Player Development. This award considers the Professional’s “Growth of the Game” leadership commitment at Section and National levels and the impact made at his/her own facility.
As a PGA Assistant Professional at Crane Creek Country Club in Boise, Idaho, growing the game is only one part of Luke’s busy schedule. He continues to work tirelessly to promote the game of golf through his exhaustive teaching schedule including many junior programs, clinics for beginning adults, fitness analysis, full-game assessments, and of course plenty of individual lessons for all levels and ages. Sestero prides himself on being a complete mentor in all facets of golf in addition to being helpful to anyone needing his expertise. His dedication to player development doesn’t end at the club. Luke has also served his Section in various ways, not the least of which is offering free swing tips at the annual golf show in Boise. Sestero is a lead by example kind of professional. He is a soft-spoken man with a huge heart and a desire to spread the game to anyone who might enjoy it at any level.
This is the fourth time Luke has been recognized as an award winner within the Section having garnered two Assistant Professional of the Year honors and a Youth Player Development Award. Sestero will be formally honored as the 2023 Rocky Mountain Section PGA Player Development Award winner next May during the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Annual Meeting.
