LUKE SESTERO SELECTED AS 2025 RMSPGA TEACHER and COACH OF THE YEAR

Luke Sestero, the PGA First Assistant Golf Professional at Crane Creek Country Club in Boise, Idaho, has been named the 2025 Teacher and Coach of the Year by the Rocky Mountain Section PGA.  Sestero was elected to PGA membership in 2016 and has spent his entire career thus far at Crane Creek.

The Teacher and Coach of the Year award bestows special recognition on a Rocky Mountain Section PGA golf professional that has performed outstanding service as a golf instructor. The honoree is chosen based on his or her performance, leadership, image, promotion of the game of golf, and impact on teaching and golf instruction.

As a PGA Assistant Professional at the club, Sestero has many responsibilities including golf operations, tournament administration, and the management and training of staff.  He is also the lead professional when it comes to player development and junior golf.  Luke dedicates a tremendous amount of his time to teaching the game, improving instructional program offerings, as well as running a highly successful junior program.  In addition to the 450+ individual lessons Sestero delivers annually, he also finds time to host clinics and beginner classes.

Luke has devoted his career to teaching golf and strives to envelop his students in a dedicated program involving equipment fitting, game management, and swing mechanics.  Junior golf is a huge passion, and his countless programs make it hard for any junior not to find their path with a club.  Whether competitive, seeking a hobby, or just out for fun, Luke is simply tireless and has created something for everyone.

This is the fifth time Sestero has been recognized with a Section Award previously earning the Player Development Award in 2023, the Youth Player Development Award in 2019, and the Assistant Golf Professional of the Year Award in 2018 and 2020.  The Section will proudly present Sestero with his 2025 Teacher and Coach of the Year Award during the RMSPGA Annual Meeting next May.
