TAD HOLLOWAY HONORED WITH ROCKY MOUNTAIN SECTION PGA
BILL STRAUSBAUGH AWARD
Tad Holloway, the PGA Head Professional at TimberStone Golf Course in Caldwell, Idaho, has been selected by the Rocky Mountain Section PGA as the 2025 recipient of the Bill Strausbaugh Award. Holloway, a 33-year member of The PGA of America, is being honored with this award for the first time as a member of the Rocky Mountain Section. Established in 1979, the Bill Strausbaugh Award is presented to a PGA Professional who, by their day-to-day efforts, has distinguished themselves by mentoring fellow PGA Professionals in improving their employment situations and through service to their community.
As a golf professional, Holloway feels a great sense of pride in his role as a mentor to many through his years. He has always strived to set positive examples through his own actions, his leadership, and his willingness to share his experiences with others to help with their navigation of industry challenges. Tad’s professionalism, patience, integrity, and always calming humor separate him from his peers. He strongly believes in developing relationships with other professionals, vendors, and his guests. This key skill is to be developed over time and Tad tries to instill this in his protégés. Holloway makes it his personal mission to continually educate others about the game, the business, and to guide his employees to positively influence the golf world into the future. Tad Holloway is a respected professional on and off the golf course, and our Section is proud to have him as a distinguished Bill Strausbaugh Award winner.
Holloway will be formally recognized as the 2025 RMSPGA Bill Strausbaugh Award winner at the Annual Meeting and Honors and Awards Presentation in May of 2026.
