SNAKE RIVER CHAPTER MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP UNDERWAY

FROZEN DAY 1 OF THE SNAKE RIVER CHAPTER PGA MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP IS COMPLETE

The opening rounds of the Snake River Chapter PGA Match Play Championship supported by Cutter & Buck, OMEGA and The PGA TOUR were contested on a truly magnificent day.  Once the heavy frost went away, stroke play qualifying to determine the top 8 players for Match Play in the regular division and the bracket of 16 in the senior division got underway and saw fine play in Chamber of Commerce weather.

By day’s end the semi-final matches were determined.  In the Senior Division PGA Professionals Mike Hamblin and Ron Rawls will face off in semi-final Match 1 and PGA Professionals John Graham and Mike Jick will go at it in Match 2.  In the Regular Division PGA Professionals Ben Bryson and Travis Hofland will play in one match and Ryan Nielson, PGA and Justin Snelling will face off in the other.  The semi-final and final matches will be played again at Blue Lakes beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16th.

The SRC Match Play Championship is the 2018 season’s final tournament for the Snake River Chapter.  It is being contested at the picturesque 6,454 yard par-72 layout at Blue Lakes Country Club in Twin Falls, Idaho, on October 15-16.

The Rocky Mountain Section and the Snake River Chapter of the PGA would like to thank Blue Lakes Country Club host PGA Professional Mike Hamblin, his staff, and the members of Blue Lakes who have put forth the effort to keep this as one of the premier events in the Chapter.  Appreciation is also extended to Cutter & Buck sales representative Andy Hollister, PGA, for his support of this Championship. Thanks also to OMEGA and The PGA TOUR for their ongoing and generous sponsorship.
