Ron Rawls Captures Rocky Mountain Section Senior PGA Professional Title;
Earns Berth in 30th Senior PGA Professional Championship


Ron Rawls of Boise, Idaho, winner of the Rocky Mountain Section Senior PGA Professional Championship July 17-18, 2018, contested at Crane Creek Country Club, will lead four Rocky Mountain Section PGA Professionals to compete in the 30th Senior PGA Professional Championship supported by Golf Advisor and John Deere.


Rawls turned in a final round of 74 on a steamy morning for a winning total of even par, 70-74=144, to capture the Championship.  Tad Holloway from Caldwell, Idaho, finished a single shot behind after rounds of 71-74=145, and Jim Empey of Boise, Idaho, was five  shots further back after his 71-79=150 effort.  The final qualifying spot went to Fred Luthy from Rexburg, Idaho, who earned his position with rounds of 79-76=155.  These four gents will be off to PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida, in late October to compete in the National Championship.
