Folds of Honor Donation Boxes Teeing Up on Golf Courses Along The Rockies

The Rocky Mountain Section PGA Gives Golfers an Opportunity to Support Military Families

Now through October 15, The Rocky Mountain Section PGA is teeing golfers up with the opportunity to donate to Folds of Honor, the nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to families of America’s fallen and disabled military members. Donations can be made at more than one hundred participating golf courses throughout four states including Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Nevada.

“Our Rocky Mountain Section PGA Professionals are pleased to be supporters of Folds of Honor, so we’re thrilled to give even more people an easy way to help out,” said Executive Director of The Rocky Mountain Section PGA, Vaughn Jenkins. “We hold in the greatest honor those who paid the ultimate price while serving our country, and we hope to positively impact the lives of military families through these donations.”

The Rocky Mountain Section PGA is the first of forty-one sections in the country to adapt the donation box program this widely. Donations to Folds of Honor help fund educational scholarships and financial needs of military families whose loved ones have been killed or disabled while on active duty. In addition to supporting education, tutoring and summer camps for children K-12, Folds of Honor also provides higher education tuition assistance to spouses and children.

“The golf community has consistently been one of our biggest supporters, and the generosity that we’ve felt from this group is incredible,” said Major Dan Rooney, founder and CEO of Folds of Honor. “We couldn't be more thankful for the backing from the Rocky Mountain Section PGA, and more importantly, for the opportunity to give back to even more military families.”
