DRIVE, CHIP & PUTT LOCAL QUALIFIER CROWNS ITS CHAMPIONS
The state of Idaho’s only Drive, Chip & Putt local qualifying tournament was held on May 6, 2018, at Ridgecrest Golf Club in Nampa, Idaho. 182 children signed up for the event which included boys and girls ages 7-15, who competed in separate divisions in four age categories. The Drive, Chip and Putt Championship will provide playing opportunities throughout all 50 states during the months of May, June, July and August. Top performers at the local level will advance through sub-regional and regional qualifiers in July, August and September. The top 80 performers – 40 boys and 40 girls – will earn an invitation to the National Finals at Augusta National on Sunday, April 7, the eve of the 2019 Masters.
All of the following players earned their way to play in the sub-regional qualifier being held at Tumble Creek Golf Club in Cle Elum, Wash., on August 13th:
Girls ages 7 to 9: Taylor Heath, Zoe Moore and Jenny Jagosh, all from Meridian, ID

Boys ages 10 and 11: Russell Larson, Emmett, ID, Reid Piron, Boise, ID, Jacob McFarland, Boise, ID
Girls ages 12 and 13: Chloe Singpraseuth, Meridian, ID, Madeleine Heringer, Boise, ID, Kelly Goulet, Boise, ID
Boys ages 12 and 13: Von Wasson, Nampa, ID, Sean Fitzpatrick, Boise, ID, Kade Andrus, Meridian, ID
Girls ages 14 and 15: Josey Parish, Meridian, ID, Kate Goulet, Boise, ID, Madeleine Wocicki, Boise, ID
Boys ages 14 and 15: Braden Anderson, Buhl, ID, Blake Helms, Eagle, ID, Julien Harrington, Kuna, ID
Players earn points hitting three drives, three chips and three putts. The cumulative total of those nine shots determines their total score for the competition. This local qualifier produced three qualifiers from each of the eight divisions.
