VEDDER & BRYSON GO LOW IN FIRST ROUND OF RMSPGA FALL PRO PRO

Marc Vedder, PGA Head Professional at RedHawk Golf Course in Nampa, Idaho, and Ben Bryson, PGA Head Professional at BanBury Golf Course in Eagle, Idaho, shot an absolutely brilliant 11-under-par round of 61 to take a four shot lead over the teams of PGA Head Professional Zach Abels from Canyon Springs Golf Course in Twin Falls, Idaho, and his partner PGA Head Professional Brad Martin from Ruby View Golf Course in Elko, Nevada, and the team of Steve Meyerhoeffer and Travis Hofland both PGA Professionals from Twin Falls (Idaho) Municipal Golf Course.  A cool and breezy day coupled with excellent course conditions produced good scores after the better-ball of partners first round.  The RMSPGA Fall Pro-Pro is supported by Greg Jenkins of JC Golf Accessories, Scott Larsen, PGA, and Mike Langley of Dynamic Brands, Bag Boy and New Balance, Jeremy Galbreth and Cody Faught of Mizuno, Lori Putnam, PGA, of Black Clover, Jeff Smith of adidas Golf, Independent Sales Representative Andy Hollister, PGA, OMEGA and The PGA TOUR.

 

In the senior division, the team of PGA Head Professional Rob Ellis from Gooding (Idaho) Country Club and PGA Head Professional John Graham from Sand Creek Golf Course in Idaho Falls, Idaho, shot a first round 3-under-par score of 69 to hold a two shot lead over the teams of PGA Head Professional Tim Reinke from Pinecrest Golf Course in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with his partner PGA Head Professional John Lewis from Centennial Golf Course in Nampa, Idaho, and PGA Teaching Professional Tommy Sanderson from The Valley Club in Sun Valley, Idaho, with PGA Head Professional Mike Hamblin from Blue Lakes Country Club in Twin Falls, Idaho.

 

The two-round event is being contested at the par 72, 6720 yard Idaho Falls Country Club in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  The modified alternate shot final round shotgun start will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 3rd.  The Rocky Mountain PGA would like to thank Jon Potter, PGA Director of Golf, Jason Jacobsen, PGA Head Professional and their always hospitable staff at Idaho Falls Country Club for hosting the event and for the care shown to the competitors.  The Rocky Mountain PGA also extends its sincerest appreciation to the aforementioned sponsors for their kind and always generous support of the RMSPGA Fall Pro-Pro.
