BABCOCK WINS YELLOWSTONE CHAPTER CHAMPIONSHIP IN PLAYOFF

TED BABCOCK WINS THE 2017 YELLOWSTONE CHAPTER CHAMPIONSHIP

 

Ted Babcock, PGA Assistant Professional at Valley View Golf Club in Bozeman, Mont., won the 2017 RMSPGA Yellowstone Chapter Championship presented by Bridgestone Golf, supported by Antigua, Imperial, Bushnell, Sun Mountain, The PGA TOUR and OMEGA. Babcock won the Championship on the first hole of a sudden–death playoff with Renzi Lee, PGA Head Professional at Lake Hills Golf Club in Billings, Mont.   Babcock and Lee tied with 36-hole total scores of even-par 142.  Jacob McKinney, assistant professional at Laurel (Mont.) Golf Club, and first-round leader Jared Strickland, assistant professional at Lakes Hills Golf Club in Billings, Mont., tied for third place with one-over par totals of 143.

 

The Championship was contested at the 6,537 yard, par 71, layout at Riverside Country Club in Bozeman, Mont., on Monday and Tuesday, September 25-26.  Twenty-four Yellowstone Chapter PGA Members and Apprentices competed in the Championship.
