YELLOWSTONE JUNIOR CHAMPIONS CROWNED
Congratulations to 16-year-old Riley Kaercher of Billings, Mont. on becoming the Boys 2015 Yellowstone Junior Champion. Riley shot two smooth rounds of 72 to nip Payton Stott, also of Billings, by a single shot and Garrett Woodin from Billings by two shots. Brady Cady completed the Billings, Mont. sweep by winning the Boys 12 to 14 year-old division by shooting a two round total of 154. On the girls side Morgan O'Neil from Laurel, Mont. earned the overall girls championship medal and Nevin Larsen from Billings captured the girls 12 to 14 year-old division title.
A special thanks from the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation goes out to PGA Head Professional Doug Conner and his staff for hosting the 2015 Yellowstone Junior Championship which was contested at Powell Golf Club in Powell, Wyo. on July 8th and 9th.
SPECTACULAR FINISH TO ALBERTSONS BOISE OPEN QUALIFIER
A milder day than expected allowed the players to go low in nice conditions at Ridgecrest Golf Club in Nampa, Idaho, for the 2015 Albertsons Boise Open Qualifier. There were 12 spots available to the 135 hopefuls that teed off. Rodney Hamblin from White Bear Township, MN shot the low round of the day with 63, just one shot off Ridgecrest’s course record.

Local Qualifying Event Held at Ridgecrest Golf Club on June 10th is Complete
A break in the weather was cause for thanks as nearly 100 children took their best 9 swings to qualify for the next level of the Drive, Chip & Putt competition. Twenty-four skilled players (12 girls and 12 boys) qualified to move on to the sub-regional competition to be held on August 8th at Promontory Ranch Golf Course in Park City, Utah.

ARNOLD “HANK” HANEKE TO BE INDUCTED INTO RMSPGA HALL OF FAME
The late Arnold “Hank” Haneke will be the fourth inductee into the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Hall of Fame. Mr. Haneke distinguished himself during his professional career as a PGA of America member within the Rocky Mountain Section and was selected by virtue of his career achievements. The RMSPGA Hall of Fame was established in 2013 by the Section Board of Directors to recognize those members who have displayed exemplary service both to the game of golf and the Rocky Mountain Section PGA.

EAMES & ALLEN BREEZE TO YELLOWSTONE CHAPTER PRO-PRO VICTORY
Bob Eames, PGA Director of Golf at Yellowstone Country Club in Billings, Montana, with partner Jeff Allen, assistant professional at Hilands Golf Club in Billings, captured the 2015 Rocky Mountain Section PGA Yellowstone Chapter Pro-Pro supported by FootJoy, OGIO, OMEGA and The PGA TOUR. Eames and Allen played exceptionally fine golf both days of the championship finishing with a 54-hole total of 21-under-par, 192. John Peterson, PGA Life Member from Bozeman, Montana, and Joey Lovell, assistant professional at Black Bull in Bozeman, finished alone in second place with a two day total of 11-under-par, 202. Woody Spainhower, PGA Head Professional at Black Bull, and his partner Tyler Armstrong, assistant professional at Yellowstone Country Club, were one shot behind Spainhower and Armstrong, finishing third.View More
GIBBS & BRYSON SQUEEZE OUT VICTORY IN THE SNAKE RIVER CHAPTER FACILITY CHAMPIONSHIP
A Chamber of Commerce afternoon produced great scores and inspired competition at the season opening 2015 Cleveland Golf/SRIXON RMPGA Snake River Chapter Facility Championship. Twenty-three teams began play on this warm and breezy day and Ben Bryson, PGA Head Professional at BanBury Golf Course in, Eagle, Idaho, and PGA Teaching Professional Jonathan Gibbs, also of BanBury, shot rounds of 65 and 72, 7-under-par, to outlast Preston Otte, PGA General Manager and his assistant Jake Harr from Clear Lake Country Club in Twin Falls, Idaho, by a single shot to capture the 2015 title. Host PGA General Manager Adam Martens and his partner PGA Head Professional Lance Rieber, both from The Club at Spurwing in Meridian, Idaho, finished alone in third place 4 shots off the pace.View More
