The Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation
The Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation, established by the Rocky Mountain Section PGA, is a non-profit charitable organization whose purpose is to promote and develop programs dedicated to young people throughout the geographic territory of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA. It is a priority of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation to grow the game of golf while using the game and its core values of honesty, integrity, respect, courtesy, sportsmanship and perseverance to enhance the quality of life for all youth. It is the mission of the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation to teach these positive life skills to all who participate in the Foundation’s programs. In an effort to achieve its purpose and mission, the Rocky Mountain Section PGA currently supports and administers the following programs.

Scholarships
The Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation currently administers two scholarship programs, the Snake River Chapter PGA Scholarship and Yellowstone Chapter PGA Scholarship. These academic based scholarship programs award scholarships annually to college-bound high school seniors based on academic achievement, community and extracurricular activity, leadership, and involvement and contribution to the game of golf. Through the support of donations by Rocky Mountain Section PGA members and the golfing public, the scholarship programs have awarded nearly $175,000.00 to deserving youth over the past thirty years.

Clubs Fore Kids
The Clubs Fore Kids program is a way for kids ages 3-12 to begin to enjoy the game of golf. During a typical Clubs Fore Kids experience, juniors would be provided with a custom-fitted golf club.   PGA of America professionals conduct the Clubs For Kids events throughout the Rocky Mountain Section PGA.

LPGA/USGA Girls Golf Club
In conjunction with the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division, the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation administers a LPGA/USGA Girls Golf Club program in the city of Boise, Idaho. The Club is a developmental junior golf program that encourages girls ages 7-17 to learn to play golf, build friendships and sample competition in a non-threatening environment. Nearly 100 girls participate each year and the success of the program has the Foundation beginning to explore the opportunity to create additional Clubs in other communities within the region.

Golf Access Program
The Golf Access Program was created in an effort to provide youngsters with the opportunity to enjoy the game regardless of financial status. Through the Golf Access Program, juniors receive complimentary practice balls and rounds of golf at participating Rocky Mountain Section PGA golf courses by presenting a Golf Access coupon. The Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation issues Golf Access coupons to schools, youth organizations and golf courses for distribution, as well as through its office in Boise, Idaho.

Golf Competitions
The Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation provides affordable, competitive and fun events in which young men and women have the opportunity to test their skills and learn sportsmanship. Consisting of 36-hole championships and pro-junior events, the Foundation’s golf competitions have nearly 500 participants annually. It is our goal to provide the premier competitive junior golf program in the region and to conduct first-class competitions.

Support and Cooperation
In addition to the programs administered directly by the Rocky Mountain Section PGA Foundation, the Foundation has lended its support to many regional junior golf associations including the Idaho Junior Golf Association, MonDac (Sidney, MT) Junior Tour, Sidney (MT) Junior Golf Association, Four-Rivers (Bozeman, MT) Junior Golf Association and Yellowstone County (Billings, MT) Junior Golf Association.
